Re: Deep Purple

^^^I certainly agree! In Rock was the first DP album that I heard when it was first released, and in it's entirety, too! I will always have both a great fondness and special significance connected with that amazing album!

^^I agree mine too Beyond. So many good albums by every line-up of the band over the years they have sure shown staying power and kept their quality standards as well.

Re: Deep Purple

from classicrockmagazine.com

Deep Purple are to have two more albums reissued by EMI on October 25.

The first is Come Taste The Band, the sole studio album from the MKIV line-up and originally put out in 1975. This has been expanded to feature not only the original album, but a remix from Kevin Shirley and previously unreleased tracks from that period.

The other is the compilation Deepest Purple, which was first issued in 1980. This has been expanded to include both Hush and Soldier Of Fortune, plus a DVD with TV clips and a track-by-track guide with Jon Lord.

Re: Deep Purple

I found this really cool live performance earlier today from 2001's Pavarotti & Friends concert. I'm sure Jon Lord is absolutely overjoyed that the band is playing with an orchestra. :heheh:
