Oops! Cyndi messed up the national anthem last night. What horrible timing too!

Wasn't as bad as some of the past...seemed to be either a bit hoarse or was trying to keep it laid back.

However she did flubb a line and was draggin' alot through it...they need to stop having celebrities sing the national anthem and just hire big throated military singers or something.

^^There have been so many "botched" anthems I wonder why they just don't play an instrumental version.

Personally, when I go to a sporting event I don't need to hear the anthem played...I know I love my country and am patriotic so it's just a waste of time.

For massive international events like the Olympics/World Cup I get that and have no problem with them singing their anthems.

They should use a "canned" perfect version to avoid embarrassing lapses or just poor performances like Cyndi's...
