Corrosion of Conformity a heavy metal band from Raleigh, North Carolina that formed in 1982. The band has consisted of guitarist Woody Weatherman, bassist Mike Dean, drummer Reed Mullin and vocalist and rhythm guitarist Pepper Keenan (who joined the band in 1989). After a hiatus in 2006, Corrosion of Conformity returned in 2010, without Keenan who is currently in Down.

One of my favorite bands.

Here's a band I totally forgot about. I only have Deliverance and it's great album though I haven't listened to it in about 10 years. Got to give 'er a spin.

About 15 years ago I worked with Woody Weatherman's great-aunt.She used to tell me when she was going to see COC.His grandparents ran Weatherman Jewelers, which opened in Raleigh in 1945.
I also went to school with Woody's cousins.

Re: Corrosion of Conformity

I have all their stuff. Been listening to them since Blind first came out. And although it took me a bit to adjust to the changes that their sound has gone through over the years I really like this band. America's Volume Dealer, is not my favorite but still decent.

The live DVD is awesome. If you don't have you need to get it.

Re: Corrosion of Conformity

I have the DVD it is great. I like their crossover thrash style as well, but I do like their newer sound as well.

I like it all too.Even Volume Dealers, but I grew up listening to them as a thrash band and then they suddenly changed into kind of a southern metal band or whatever ,but yeah it is very good. I saw them open for BLS when Pepper was still with them. Awesome \m/

Yea I saw them with Pepper and it was great. I was supposed to see them in Sayerville but they cancelled the show which sucks. They are playing all the shit off Animosity since it is just that line up. I am bummed.
