I wonder how many Boston albums we would have had by now if Tom wasn't always suing everyone on the planet, but instead just wrote & recorded music.

^^Not a bad list of songs Vehicle.:D

Oh and I am glad the judge dismissed his defamation case, but I'll wager that doesn't stop him from filing more lawsuits in the future.

At least Barry Goudreau is out trying to earn a living. If he can get a handful more people to the show by using the name Boston, so what?

Here's the thing...

Boston is Scholz's identity. His whole life revolves around the band name. It's what makes him 'special'.

The band name 'Boston' keeps him a little bit more identifiable than everyone else. Rarely will you see an article or blurb that doesn't have the two together.

Boston songwriter Tom Scholz, Tom Scholz of Boston, etc., etc.

He doesn't want anyone else using 'Boston', because that's all he has.

What a sad, small life he must live.

I'm sure it feels small and insignificant to him, that is when he's not raising millions of dollars for charity..

^^Do you mean Scholz is a philanthropist Gorgon?

Regardless of his other endeavors, he is one of the strangest people in rock, the number of lawsuits he's filed is ridiculous.

Yes he is very much so. He is a weirdo, and probably don't think like the rest of us. Probably has something to do with his massive IQ.

^^I remember he was a graduate of MIT, and went to work for the Polaroid company which coincided with him putting Boston together. Never doubted his intelligence, but it's offset by his eccentric behavior when it comes to trivial things.

I can answer this.

Tom Scholz and 4 other guys.

Am I right? What did I just win!? :oyea:

Your winnings are twofold.

1. You won the 'Rename Boston' contest.

2. You successfully avoided litigation by not referring to the band name 'Boston' without permission from Tom Scholz
