Billy Joel vs Bruce Springsteen

The Piano Man vs. The Boss. I think this one is much closer than most critics do. And I think Billy and Bruce have much more in common as artists than Billy and Elton do. Hopefully this will stir up some interesting debate.

I have gone for Billy, I have all the Boss's albums and I am in the process of getting all Billy's albums, I love them both so was a difficult choice for me.

I am not a huge fan of either one, but "Born To Run" and "Born In The USA" have tipped the balance in favor of Springsteen.

I do like "The Stranger" and "Glass House" Billy's two best records.

Yes you are right that is Billy's signature song and always will be to me, the first song I ever heard of his, they almost ruined it by overplaying it on the radio.
