I missed last week's show, but I was sorry to see Elise go, though she'd been hanging on by her fingertips now for weeks.

I'm a big fan of Hollie, and my eldest son is positively besotted with her, and even has her on his PC desktop, and a poster of her on his wall, though that's what 14 year old boys do I suppose....but I think she may be next to go, even though I have been rooting for Skylar to get dumped now for maybe a month, her confounded Tammy Wynette Mississippi drawl is just getting more extreme as we go along, I'm getting so I almost need subtitles on my screen to understand a word she's singing.

It's still Jessica to win for me, said so since the Hollywood auditions a couple of months ago.

I am beginning to wonder if America's love and fascination for acts like Taylor Swift is the reason for the sudden success of country artists on the show. I mean, Carrie Underwood took the title years ago but as far as I can remember she didn't have a country theme going on every single week. This is why I think Skylar is still around and why Scotty and Lauren were at the top last season. A few years ago they wouldn't have had a chance in my opinion.

I am sad to see Elise go too. She and Colton (though he was more Indie) were the only rockers of the show. The Hendrix song she performed last week just wasn't the best idea though.

Jessica's "You Are So Beautiful" performance was absolutely stunningly flawless in my opinion.

I'm getting quite upset that the shows only go out 24 hours later in the UK than it does over in the States, so I have to take evasive action all day to try and avoid finding out online who sings well, and who goes and who stays each week. Can't wait to see this though if Jessica has blown you away again, be the weekend before I see it, so I better avoid this thread now until then!!
