:heheh: LMFAO is nothing but fun music to me. You can't really even attempt to take them seriously. I record each show, and I skipped through them too. I admit most of the time I skip through Joshua as well. He's a bore.

I skip through a lot of the show:grinthumb

Joshua had gone from a great singer to a shouter, he's just screaming every week like Joe Cocker at a football match, I was a big fan but now I'm less impressed as we get nearer to the final.

I think this year's batch of singers is really good. The only one I don't get at all is Phillip. I don't hear what everybody else seems to hear. The others are all really good. I didn't like Skylar at the beginning but I gotta admit she's been great just about every week. I still don't like country voices in general but she's got great range and power and really sells the song. Jessica, Joshua, and Holly are all pretty great and I've been rooting for Elise since her performance of Vienna on Billy Joel week. I'm just afraid that Phillip's gonna make it to the final at the expense of better singers.

Philip is very marketable, as he looks effortlessly laid back with his guitar most weeks, and as if he just rolled out of bed after a bad night on the bottle, so there's nothing marketed or contrived about him, he seems to be going for a Chris Martin (Coldplay) type of thing. But his voice at times is pretty terrible to be honest, I'm surprised Jimmy Iovine hasn't killed him a few times, there were a couple of lines when they all sang 'Dancing in the Streets' as a group last week when he was WAY out of tune, and I cringed it was so bad.

Yeah, what I don't get ( and this happens all the time on AI) - the judges hammer Holly and other contestants about "pitchiness" and yet Phillip can croak out any old noise and the judges love him for being himself and give him a free pass about his lack of melody.

Apparently Nigel said this week's theme is Queen for the first song, contestants' choice for the second. :)
