Skylar has to be next out of the door, her exaggerated redneck Dolly Parton karaoke drawling is just way too Dukes of Hazzard to be bearable to me any longer, every time I hear her I get the urge to reintroduce slavery and marry 3 of my cousins. Pretty sorry Colton is gone, but Jessica for me is still favourite.

No way Skahler will win it TS. We already had the Mad TV kid aka Scotty McDreary last year and that's enough country for America to handle. I want her to go too. In fact, I want a double elimination and she can take Hollie with her. That girl is all sorts of lacking in the energy department and bores me. I think I'd rather do my taxes and watch CSPAN than watch her performances. :bonk:

I love Hollie! She's had good and bad weeks, but I love her range in her voice, and she packs a real punch for such a young girl, though I don't see her winning. Philip is somebody I'm struggling with now as I think he's easily the worst singer left, he has other assets as a performer, but purely on voice alone he is very ordinary, and I tend to go by voice rather than image. If people voted blindfolded he would have been out weeks ago....there's a new show in the UK called The Voice where the panel DO vote blindfolded, so it stops them being influenced by other factors.

Not sure how long The Voice has been going over there but I believe it's on its second season over here TS. Adam Levine, Cee Lo Green, Christina Aguilera and Blake Shelton are the judges and yes they are blindfolded. :)

I actually like Phillip for entertainment value and his level of artistry that he brings to the show, but you're right... it is a singing competition so it would be a little unfair for him to win it when you have belters like Joshua and Jessica. But what he did with that Usher tune last night was CRAZY. I loved it.

They aren't blindfolded, their chairs just don't face the singer. When the judges hear a singer they like they push a button and the chairs turn. They are down to their top 12 now I think

Ah that's right. I meant to say blind auditions but boobooed. ;)

That's awesome. I like how Brian May has become involved in the new music scene somewhat. First with Gaga and now this. I wonder what else he's been up to.

Colton didn't deserve to go home btw.

Wow, well that should be worth seeing even if you aren't an Idol fan....especially after having to suffer through 4 minutes of 'LMFAO' this week, which was about as embarrassing to watch and listen to as music ever gets, Steve Tyler I thought for the first time had a sort of "you know, they really aren't paying me enough to have to sit through this shit" look on his face.

:heheh: LMFAO is nothing but fun music to me. You can't really even attempt to take them seriously. I record each show, and I skipped through them too. I admit most of the time I skip through Joshua as well. He's a bore.
