"Saturday Night Fever" for two very simple reasons. Not only for its wonderful collection of great disco tunes, but also because in my mind at least,"Grease" wallows too much in sappy sentimentality.(Indeed Olivia Newton John's "Hopelessly Devoted to You" makes my want to hurl, along with her prior to "Grease" 1974 hit "I Honestly Love You")."You're the One That I Want" and "Summer Lovin'" are certainly catchy tunes, but even in these cases you've got a great deal of bubblegum going on.
