10 Classic Rock Bands Who Deserve More Respect

For hardcore classic rock fans of all ages, these bands get respect, imo.

I listen to all the bands on that list, except, The Raspberries and Black Oak Arkansas...for some reason, I never got into them...

Grand Funk Railroad - have all their albums!
Rare Earth - Have 4 albums, 2 studio albums and a live album and a ''Best Of''
Chicago - Have the first 10 albums or so...Didn't like them after Terry Kath died.
The Grass Roots - Have 2 albums and a Greatest Hits
Spirit - 4 albums , the classic years of the band, plus some live stuff.
The Guess Who - have all their albums.
Steppenwolf - have all the original albums

All from memory...

The Guess Who, Steppenwolf, and Chicago need more respect? I don't get this one. Their songs are still on the radio daily...what else does the writer want?

I think Thin Lizzy should have been on that list.

I agree, for some reason people overlook them, when in fact they have recorded some absolute "Stonking" albums.

Sure Davy Jones and Micky Dolenz didn't start out as musicians, they still picked up on music. They had some great tunes granted their biggest hits were written by other people. Which saddens me because if they were given complete creative control, I'm sure they could have easily broken out of that teen idol/tv show darlings mold.

In my opinion, many critics also underestimated such brilliant bands like Uriah Heep and UFO. Although they are no less worthy, than LZ or Kiss.
