It's okay KMET, he busted me fair and square...I am however posting in the source I got my information from,,,it is usually far more accurate than Wiki, but in this case I admit my mistake.

I have left my original Head On post intact, but added an edit correcting my error underneath the album cover pictures at the bottom of the post.

LG, mistakes are natural and do happen. You are only human, right? To err is human, as well. :grinthumb No one person can know every bit of information about each/every band, album, members and careers, imo. Although I've met a couple of people who do believe (mostly to themselves :heheh:) that they do. If you were to know all of these things we should refer to you as the professor of CRF or Professor LG! Sounds pretty good, don't you think? ;)

I appreciate, applaud and enjoy all of your efforts, reviews, info and comments, period! You, Soot, Magic, Shaggy, Oblivion and eberg all do a great job! Thanks to all of you!

Thanks for the compliments Rocker440.

Yeah what's that old saying..."Let only those who are without sin cast the first stone"...:D

The only issue here was after making my mistake and then admitting/correcting it the critic was still not satisfied, at that point he ignored EB and then things played out as inevitably as the tide rolling in.

I will thank him for one thing though, I will do a proper in depth Multi source check the next time I post about a Major event in a bands career, just to make sure I get things as close to accurate as possible.

In this case as I mentioned I never bought Freeways, it was a very disappointing record and I never owned a copy so I had limited personal experience with the details. Head On was a good album though, so I am glad I found that one a few months ago on CD.

^^^You're very welcome, LG! :)

Well, I used to skip many a stone across ponds and rivers when I was much younger, but not any houses, nor people. Some tact and consideration would have been helpful from the person, imo.

Imo, that wasn't necessary for them to press the issue, nor ignore EB. The book is closed, time to move on and continue rocking, too! :)

I'm not sure if I have Freeways myself and I agree with you about Head On, that is both one of my favorite BTO releases, and was also the first lp I bought of theirs. I believe I bought it in a small town in West Virginia close to when it was first released (now that's a long time ago :lmao:) while visiting relatives. :D

My how times do change, fly by and move forward!

Free Wheelin' would be off Not Fragile Sox, their most commercially successful album.

Cheers, all I have is a couple of compilations and that track was on an old greatest hits LP I had. Must explore some more.

WoW!! - What a great thread.

I enjoyed reading all the posts. It's good to see all the B.T.O Fans.

I also grew up on the rockin' sounds of Bachman-Turner Overdrive.

LOVE them a lot. I used to have all the LPs, now have most of their CDs.

My favorite B.T.O. albums (in order) are:

Not Fragile (1974)
Bachman–Turner Overdrive II (1973)
Head On (1975)
Bachman–Turner Overdrive (1973)

These four albums are essential to any serious B.T.O. Fan. I thought ''Four Wheel Drive'' was ok, but not as great as the 4 albums listed above.

I'll sure be back to this thread, but it the meantime, here's my Rock & Roll theme song...

Rock Is My Life, And This Is My Song beerbang.gif

Welcome to the BTO party GM.:D

It took me a while to really get into Four Wheel Drive, but I still enjoy that one.

My list in order...

Not Fragile
BTO II
BTO
Four Wheel Drive
Head On.

I like them all though. There are some good compilation CD's for the fans that want only their hit songs, I'll post the one I have later. I bought it when CD's were still lagging way behind when it came to releasing a bands vinyl albums on CD, but I have caught up now.
