Progressive Instrumental Recommendations??

There is just so much amazing progressive rock & fusion from the 70s. Just silly amounts.

Bundles is a hidden masterpiece for sure. Tons of Soft Machine stuff is.

Another Camel album I listened to yesterday:

 

[Tattoo'd Lady]

this is a great album, although not fully instrumental, 1 of the 4 songs on the album contains vocals but i think its just an amazing album

this is another fabulous album



plus there's some great jazz fusion albums that are basically prog in my opinion, these two are some of my favorites

I have that Camel CD too Sal, for some reason Camel seems to be left out when 70's prog is discussed...

Third is top notch, i definitely think its right up your alley for what you're looking for

another great album is Love Devotion Surrender, also not totally instrumental, however the only vocals are a few chants here and there, its one of my favorite albums of all time, definitely worthy of a listen if you've never heard it

I have never heard that album, Tatoo'd, but I am a huge fan of Santana and McLaughlin, too....I am tracking it down now

wow nice list tatoo I love all those albums. Third is my favorite Soft Machine Album and any Gong album is alright with me.

Love Devotion Surrender is good too haven't pulled that vinyl out in a while maybe I'll give it a spin.
