Funny...I've had a few people call me or stop by claiming that I did not hear them or know because I am listening to music. As long my neighbors are cool, all is good. You guys are going to have to write louder, that thing is so loud he cant read.![]()
They look alright 2LT...but I always want a complete spec sheet with every piece of gear I buy. As far as power goes it's not critical after all Cerwin Vega's speakers in the 70's - 80's would knock the walls down with a 10-20 watt/channel amplifier they were legendary for their efficiency.
Speakers are the most defining part of any system you buy, I've always bought them first when assembling any of my systems over the years. The associated electronics can make a difference not saying they don't but you have to like the sound of your speakers, that's why there are so many different models/designs to choose from.
...
Was cleaning up my old Mirage subwoofer, plugged it in and it's making so much noise it's officially retired, not bad after 15+ years service. I tried to find a plate amp to replace the original, but this model is so old they are obsolete so I've given up.
and the quality shines though musically and aesthetically as well.

What model Mirage sub, I bought the 150 years ago and it is just now showing its age. It has developed a little plopping sound on some of the lower midrange bass. Doesn't happen all the time, but it's telling me to start looking. But like you said I got my bucks worth.
I'll never understand that for a quality company like Mirage they should have always used rubber. The first thing to fail on any driver should be the voice coil, not the physical connecting piece holding the driver in place.
