The more I've played with this little beauty the more impressive it is both sonically and the workmanship is superb.

Looks great, I like how compact it is. Did you buy it mainly with enhancing the sound of movies in mind? (I know very little about these things not being anything like an audiophile ;)) Bet it's like being in the cinema :)

Btw, Parmesan roast potatoes - sounds delicious :heheh:

^^It's for my computer set-up Tray, the room is about 12x12 feet and this little subwoofer is astonishing at what it can do, not boomy at all but solid which shows it's quality. I did have it running in my other room playing CD's with my mini-monitors and even in a big room it sounded good.

I will use it with my 9.2 system in the main room for the rear channels to augment the bass of the surround speakers behind the couch, seeing how small it is and the cable it comes with is 30 feet long so you can place it just about anywhere. The owner of Audio Ark smiled when I bought it and told me to have fun playing around with it and he's right about that. He sells a lot of REL's and loves them.:D

Yeah I forgot to edit that picture and wanted a new roast 'tater's recipe to try out this week.;)

Boys and their toys... :heheh: Seriously it sounds like an ideal piece of kit, no wonder you are chuffed. The extra long cable is an added bonus too :grinthumb

^^Indeed I've been an audio gear addict for a long long time now.;)

I do have a "Big Daddy" monstrous subwoofer in the other room for watching movies...I'll put the REL on top of it and post a photo tomorrow just for comparison.:heheh:

Lord.. What kind of plug is that blue input ? I am curious but not familiar with this type of equipment

It looks like similar to a Amphenol type connector, I dont think it is but I am curious given the size of the cable. I used their connector alot of specialized automotive electrical work. The stuff is mind blowing aero quality connectors. Great Stuff.

Hello MrJim, reading the REL manual they call the socket the "Neutrik Speakon connector". It consists of the socket with custom plug, a 30 foot cable so you can place it anywhere in your listening room, the cable itself contains a left, right and ground wire. You connect it to the outputs on your amplifier/receiver with your main speakers. The impedance prevents it drawing any power from the amplifier but allows the subwoofer to perfectly match your stereo speakers.

I haven't connected the LFE input yet, it's just nicely broken in now after about 50 hours of playing at modest volume. But I will be doing that next when I feel the urge to setup a 5.1 on my PC. I have all the speakers/receiver I need but am just lazy and don't feel like rearranging the room to place everything right now.;)

Hmm... Heavy duty problably to handle long runs on multi speaker and ground in a single cable. Cool not Aphenol but cool.

check out how it bulks up the line to handle the long run.

Cool setup Lord very cool stuff.

All I want is a solid set of Audio speakers, you know the big boy kind :oyea:. I came accross a whole of bad feedback on Axiom I just dont know if i can trust them.

^^That's definitely a really nice connector Mr.Jim a lot heavier duty than the one on the subwoofer I bought.

I've read lots of both positive and negative things about Axiom...but my sisters 5.1 set-up works fine and sounds good. My brother bought a sub and rear surrounds from them and he's happy....:dunno:

My advice would be to make a trip to the closest high end store in your area, and listen for yourself to what's available in the price range you are comfortable with. Then wait till after Christmas and scoop up a good deal as they move out the old stock to make room for the new arrivals.

I am satisfied with my Sierra's from Ascend Acoustics and my SVS subwoofer both of which I bought online.

Between my left and right speakers...
Connections...

Really nice pics of the REL Bruce. That connector I've never seen before. Neutrik I am familiar with as they are the preferred plugs for XLRs. I have to add that I like seeing that the power cord is not captive and a higher grade one can be substituted for it.
