I know this is a bit melodramatic, but if someone held a gun to your head and, instead of taking all your money, asked you for ONE favourite artist or band only, which would it be?

Mine is Emerson, Lake and Palmer.

Easiest question you could ever ask me. You'd have to add the whole rest of my top 50 together before they would begin to rival Neil Young.

Like, seriously, I have trouble comprehending how it's possible that I love Neil Young so much. I'm someone who thrives on variety. I prefer to go out and discover new things rather than stick with what I know. But do you know what I listened to on the hour walk home today? Neil Young. And the day before that? Neil Young. I've been listening to him avidly for nine or ten years. At this point I'm not even supposed to be able to tolerate him, thanks to years of overplay. And yet he's still the greatest thing I've ever heard, and I can't get enough.

Classical it would be easy, Beethoven.

Rock...that's harder but I'll take Jethro Tull, there's something unique about that band that sets them apart from just about all other rock bands, and the longevity is remarkable as well.
