Now that Dave is back in the band, Sammy Hagar should never be allowed in the same room as either Eddie or Alex, never be allowed to contact them directly. He shouldn't even be allowed to speak to their lawyers. Ever.

Why is that??:wtf:

Because Dave is Van Halen, and Sammy should not be allowed to worm his way in again. Things appear to be good right now, can't let Sammy spoil the party.

Well, considering this band's history with their singers, I think a more accurate statement would be Dave is Van Halen Right Now, (Pun most definitely intended)

Also, Sammy's not the only VH lead singer to try and worm his way back in. I seem to recall a few years back, David Lee Roth, after recording a couple of tracks, began prepping 'for the tour', that only he, apparently, knew about.

I'm not trying to be a tool, and I'm not saying anyone is right or wrong. I'm just saying that neither of these singers, or the VH boys for that matter, have acted much like adults from time to time.

Granted, Dave's been with the band longer, (not sure how many years difference), and he's done more albums with VH.

But that doesn't change the fact that Sammy was a big part of their success for a long time, too. Again, I don't know how many years, but I know they did 5 albums together, and they're not garbage. They're well done albums, too. It's an integral and undeniable chunk of VH history.

If Sammy's a worm, then so is Dave. He's pulled the same childish stunts.

what makes you think he's trying to worm his way in? and i don't think he's trying to spoil anybodys party.
i think sammy is still angry about getting screwed over by eddie. as someone posted before dave is the vocalist [right now[, and i've said it before how long till eddie turns on dave again. neither sammy pr dave were the problem it was eddie.

Things appear to be good right now,

This is a pretty telling statement in itself. Sounds as though you may be a bit skeptical about the way things are going right now.

It's justified though. Everyone who follows VH in the least knows they've had some pretty tenuous relationships within the band for years.

David Lee Roth is Van Halen. Anyone else who has sung for that band has attempted to fill his shoes and at best has been keeping his seat warm, Dave hasn't needed to worm his way back into his own party. The VH brothers for some reason couldn't get their heads straight in 96 when that tour prepping comment was supposed to have happened. The reception they got at the MTV awards showed how much the people wanted it, the timing was right, it made great business sense to reunite then, only the brothers couldn't see it.

Personally, I think Cherone or at least a 3rd vocalist was already being lined up and Dave got used.

Dave's VH catalogue has sold more units than both the Hagar and Cherone era's put together. Dave set the bar, a bar which will never be matched by anyone, let alone Sammy Hagar.

One person's opinion doesn't make it another person's truth.

You have your opinion and I have mine. That's cool. What's great about a site like this is that everyone has their say, as long as it's civil, you know?

Oh, and BTW, Eddie and Alex are Van Halen, not Dave. Just my opinion.

Agreed, particularly with the bolded. I have never seen Dave as being Van Halen at all.
