I heard Sublime for the first time about 2 months ago. I got all three of their studio albums and I listened to nothing else for about a month. I love Sublime so much and Don't Push is probably my favorite song along with Santeria. Santeria was the first song i heard from them and it hooked me. I heard it on Pandora Radio on the Bob Marley station. I've been considering getting Yours Truly but I really don't know if i should. Any advice???

Get all of it! My Sublime collection started the first time I heard them on the radio (1992).

They are my favorite band of all time.

All of their live stuff is better imo and their covers are better than the original artist for many of them. Can't say enough good things about this band.

When Brad died it was within the same two years as biggie, tupac, chris farley, phil hartman, basically all my heros were dead by the time I was in 6th grade. When Brad died he was found by his dog, doesn't get much more sad than that. But, it's like Nirvana, there is more to the music than how the singer died.

Tonight, Beautiful Loser, go get every Sublime bootleg and concert vid youtube has to offer, I'll start you off:

Different strokes for different for different folks ;)

40 oz To Freedom is their best album.

Fox Theater, Denver co 4-20-1996 is the best bootleg I have heard so far.

I have about 30 albums of theirs and there are more I don't have that I want.

The thing about them I liked is their style does so much. Like the song pool shark, they can play it fast and rockin like the descendants, or more ska like NOFX, or chill sounding acoustic. They had a range and rocked it. Remember, the singer was only 23 or 24 when he died, these are all young talents at the peak of their game.

Got to see the original Sublime live on the Robbin' The Hood tour. They put on a good show. IMO they heped bring Ska - Punk music to the mainstream
