^^That would have been my Second choice.;)

I have been "chuffed" with the quality of the new audiophile pressings, they are the best sounding versions of old classics I've ever heard. If I'm going to bother spending money on vinyl, I would rather pay more and have a mint new copy rather than a worn out used one.

But I do understand why you prefer to spend 3 Pounds instead of 15+...or whatever they cost over there.

I saw a brand new copy of Sabbath Bloody Sabbath for £8 and used copy cost about the same (I got mine for £3.50). But my main concern about new records is some of them are digital masterings. I'd rather listen to what was recorded on analogue systems than a vinyl with masterings taken from of a computer. There will be always one exception, where the original copy cost ridiculous amount of money.

Also started to play TL songs on bass and some of them are quite challenging.

^^The albums I'm collecting are done with the original mastertapes simply with updated equipment and superior vinyl, and they take their time to get it right.

This is the 3rd copy of Jailbreak I've owned, and it is hands down the finest ever released. The CD is decent, but like most classic rock albums from the 70's it is in it's natural element on vinyl.

^^For me I would recommend "Jailbreak" Garrett...it's got a lot of variety from all out hard rockin' songs to ballads to a near country song.

Bad Reputation, Fighting, Black Rose, Johnny The Fox and Chinatown are all good.

Many folk also consider "Live and Dangerous" to be one of the best live records ever made.

I need to listen carefully to Live And Dangerous, from a first listen it is a nicely produced live album, but wouldn't consider as the best ever.

Fighting followed by Bad Reputation from me.

Thanks for the recommendations LG :grinthumb.....I ordered Jailbreak and Live and Dangerous. Like most folks my age I think I had Jailbreak back in the day.
