^^^ I'm willing to bet my paycheck that that whole thing was staged last night, Fever. There's just no way, with the judges' raves for her performance and her fanbase, that Jessica was at the bottom of the pack. Hollie was way more lacking in her performance. But we are getting down to the cream of the crop and the next elimination will be a hard one. I just want Skylar to go!
Next week the contestants will be singing songs by Elton John.
Elise's performance was really the only one I appreciated this week. The rest were a bit boring. This is why I don't understand the constant bottom three every week for her. I think she's a lot more interesting than most of the other contestants, and sometimes wonder if she's the outcast because of her age. She made "You and I" tolerable for me as well. I usually hate this song.
I think that was the Sons Of Sylvia that played with Skylar.A few years ago they won the show The Next Great American Band, which aired on FOX.They were the Clark Brothers then.
If the source I read is right, Colton was eliminated tonight. I was not expecting that. I thought he would land in the top 5 easily.
Here's my favorite performances from last night:
Hollie Cavanagh ~ Rolling in the Deep (Adele)
Skylar Laine ~ Born This Way (Lady Gaga) first time I have EVER liked a performance by Skylar. The way she countrified this song was absolutely genius!
Phillip Phillips ~ U Got It Bad (Usher) absolutely original and the most entertaining performance of the night for me personally
I didn't care much for the second half's performances as I've never cared for Soul Trainesque tunes.
