Madonna has more Likes on Facebook than Kiss, so any fact you bring up is irrelevent, Madonna is just better and more popular than Kiss, especially with younger fans, that is why she is in the Rock hall of fame & better than Kiss.

If Madonna dosn't belong in the Rock hall of fame then neither do groups like Beastie Boys, Ray Charles or the other Non-rock acts, it is a Hall of Fame dedicated to TRUE talent, even if it is not Rock.

The defination of rock is also not limited to groups like Kiss, Rock & Roll music is edgy, powerful and loud, Madonna is all 3 of those things.

Also, Queen never sold out, they have always had a flamboyent style so them wanting to have Lady Gaga be their lead is ok by me.

Kiss have been irrelivent since the 80s, and they even stopped wearing their makeup after awhile.

While Madonna has been the best thing to happen to music since The Beatles.

She is a performer who tried and failed before image was all it took to make you a superstar (pre MTV era when musicians had to have something going for them musically to have a chance at making it) and has done practically everything to prostitute her image that one could think of.

Would Kiss (especially Gene Simmons) have resorted to such depths if it were the only option to stardom? I think judging from the fact that they put out an album with disco songs on it while hard rock was still very popular says absolutely. But that isn't the point. The point is what is a more suitable act for the halftime show of a game where people are basically doing battle for a few hours? I don't think some trashy display from a soft porn 'artist' is it.

His response to Groovy's comment was professional and eloquent.

I don't want to see any "Dissections" in here, they always lead to trouble. Nothing irritates me more than when someone destroys a well written post and attacks every sentence piece-meal that is an old forum trick that I never do myself and never will. It's fine in a debate but just leads to hard feelings in every forum I've been part of.

You don't run this forum and neither does any other member, we do and we will decide what is fair and what is not. Magic and I NEVER dissect another members post, if I think about it she posted a rule about doing that a long time ago because a handful of members caused continual trouble doing just that. When I post in a thread that has a heated debate going on ignoring what I say is Not Optional. You are obviously enjoying yourself but as usual never know when to stop. If this thread is closed you will be one of the Main reasons.

TC's post was definitely way over the line, I have the original and this topic has about run it's course anyway.
