ELO was a massively important band to me growing up and it's nice to know Bev Bevan is still alive and well.

I bet at least 65% of ELO fans don't know Bev played heavy metal in 1983/84.

In April this year he received a Broad Street Walk of Stars award in Birmingham.

He did a special gig and Tony Iommi joined him.






Now he works as a DJ in BBC WM (West Midlands).

I'd say that's a perfect way to stay part of the music scene after a very nice career.

I bought a couple ELO vinyl LP's today for 50 cents each, Face The Music and Greatest Hits. So now I have about 6 LP's by ELO. I want to delve into the older stuff, the first 3 albums or so, stuff I dont know very well (except for the hits).
