The 80s were famous for the one hit wonders!

One of the coolest (and most parodied) 80s videos:

Great minds - just been on YouTube looking for The Sun Always Shines on TV by Aha. Ahhh, I was soooo in love with Morten and Magne - such Scandinavian Sex Gods

Not interested in determining whether the stuff I find stands the test of time. Most of it doesn't. However, I want to post stuff I like!

Got two versions of this gem from Grease 2. The top one is the short version from the movie. The bottom one is the longer album version, which apparently a video was never made for.

Then we got a little Alice Cooper. This one used to sound good on the radio!

Beach Boys riding off into the sunset, at least as far as recording studio albums.

Shouldn't post 80's videos while I am slowly drinking a bottle of wine from top to bottom, but I am.

Steppenwolf's mid 1980's attempt to rescale the music charts. This is from around 1987. Do note that the Wolf rerecorded this song in 1996 to give it just a little more punch and the 1996 version does sound better than this. Also note that the Wolf still plays this tune live in concert, or they were on their recent tours in the 2000's.

This tune is a video by Quiet Riot which I believe to be one of their finest music videos and songs. Pretty creative video, I think, though a little cheesy.

MP: Edit. Video No Longer On YouTube :uh:

While Tony Martin's hand gestures are embarrassing to look at, I always viewed this song as Black Sabbath's greatest triumph in the studio (at least the album version) and STILL do. I apologize.

More 1980's Tony Martin Sabbath. A lot of fans detest him and the albums sold poorly. However, I can't resist........!!!!!!! Oh, more hand gestures from Tony to emphasize his lyrics in the video.

Nobody rocked a flat top, thigh high vinyl boots and a codpiece like Larry Blackmon from Cameo :D

Aaaaah I was going to post Hall and Oates but was beaten to it! That was my shit in my youth! :heheh: Nothing represents 80's cheese like Maneater! :D

Anyway, since there looks to be Hall and Oates fans in here I'll shamelessly plug the thread! :grinthumb

"The Official" Hall and Oates Thread

But don't worry, I'm not just plugging! I've got the cheese to end all cheese here!

Oh Sherry

Oh Sherrie. Man, that song is awesomely bad! :heheh: A lot of people think Journey's later stuff was pure cheese too, but I love it and am not afraid to say so.

Brat Pack movie songs, anyone?

And, my mom's personal favorites: Tears for Fears :grinthumb
