Mostly shuffle, but when I found some new albums then I go normal forward play on them.

Play/Forward. I don't like compilations or best of albums and I don't have an Ipod or other kind of standalone mp3 player. On my computer I also listen commonly to full albums.

:oyea: Gotta love ferrets and their kleptomaniac tendancies

Love the ferret, and the novelty of saying that it stole my ipod. Not so big on the fact that my iPod is lost somewhere in Winslow, Arizona because the little guy ran off with it.

He also stole my Velvet Underground shirt...My theory is that he's made an incredibly comfortable ferret bed out of these items in a secret nook in my friend's apartment.

Sorry for laughing, it's just I know exactly where you're coming from only the little critters who stole my stuff were rats. Turn your back for one second and things would disappear and the little buggers cost me a fortune with the damage they did. I remember finding a rattie stash once and it had everything in it from candles to jewellery, and don't ask me how they had the strength to haul some of the bigger items (found a massive baking potato in my bed once) but somehow they managed it.

Straight Through...best way to listen to albums/CD's....:grinthumb

Very true, and also with some particular albums (i.e., Pink Floyd DSoTM and WYWH) I believe those albums should always be played straight through. I can't much imagine listening to those albums any other way. :grinthumb

Yeppers that is me as well, the only time I will use shuffle is on a compilation album of various artists or soundtracks, otherwise my OCD kicks in and I just start twitching if the songs are not in the right sequence.:lmao:

Besides I grew up with vinyl, and to actually pick the tonearm up and move it to a single song was a pain in the ass, the only exception would be if I wanted to play one song over again After playing the side in it's entirety. We are creatures of habit after all.

That is one time I really enjoy the random/shuffle feature, too, LG! It's an excellent change of pace, and having the surprise of which song is played next is refreshing, imo.

Ditto, with everything you said! Although when I was younger I was known for playing some songs repeatedly and also, somewhat strangely :bonk: wearing out some of my vinyls quite a lot, or at least particular songs that I greatly liked! :oyea:

I didn't do that very often, but my Mom used to borrow a lot of my albums and just play one or two songs until they were worn out...she always bought me a new copy but never changed her listening habits.:D

As a general rule I just hit the play button.

BUT I have my MP3 player (8 gig) loaded with entire albums, so I usually pick and choose what I want to hear. I am constantly changing albums on the player, too.

Oh and I use shuffle on the Blackberry. I have it loaded with individual songs and like the "shuffle"
