What is your main choice?

Whether with albums, cassette tapes, CDs or other equipment, which option do you use most frequently?

I usually listen to most using play, or from beginning straight through to the end. But occasionally or at certain times the random/shuffle feature is very different, cool and a nice change, too.

Sometimes, when I just want to hear a particular song or songs I'll jump from one track to another!

My choices are all of them! :heheh:

Shuffle always. Largely inspired by the face that when I used to have CD's (now I listen to everything on mp3's) I would often only know the first 5 tracks and I really didn't think that was fair

If I'm listening to an album it's straight through. If I'm listening to a hodgepodge on the computer, I cook up a playlist.

Play/Forward

Straight Through...best way to listen to albums/CD's....:grinthumb

Yeppers that is me as well, the only time I will use shuffle is on a compilation album of various artists or soundtracks, otherwise my OCD kicks in and I just start twitching if the songs are not in the right sequence.:lmao:

Besides I grew up with vinyl, and to actually pick the tonearm up and move it to a single song was a pain in the ass, the only exception would be if I wanted to play one song over again After playing the side in it's entirety. We are creatures of habit after all.

If I want to listen to an album, I will always listen straight through. However, I put my iPod on Shuffle 95% of the time. First of all, I have several songs on my iPod as a joke and it's funny to hear them come on shuffle at the most random times. I also like the element of surprise, as mentioned above. It also allows for more variety (although shuffles do start to get repetitive if you don't reset your play counts regularly (at least on iPods)); I'm really not the kind of person that can listen to one song or list over and over. I will occasionally start the shuffle with a good song and let it take over from there, though.

It's kind of hard to listen to an LP on shuffle...

Before a ferret stole my iPod, though, I would usually make a playlist and turn it on shuffle when I went out.
