By my own request, at least take one last look at those oldsters on the list. We are nearing the end of the project and still have artists like Dion, Bobby Darin, Gladys Knight, and Etta James on the outside. Just a consideration.

Alright, one last word. The rap question now starts to come up every year starting with last year's vote. You will find acts like The Beastie Boys, Run DMC, Public Enemy, etc on the lists. I always hear rap isn't rock and roll, but I think that is very closed minded. Rap is just another genre much like prog, glam, disco, grunge. It is an offshoot of soul, and rock and soul go hand in hand. :grinthumb

Obviously you don't have to vote for rappers, and the chances of that happening around here are slim enough. We can't even induct Michael Jackson for God's sake. But I just wanted to nip any complaints in the bud on why rappers are dirtying up our lists.
