I've got to say we have an eclectic voting bloc around here. Where else but Classic Rock Forums are you going to get more votes for Saxon than for U2?

From a voter who didn't vote for either, I hate U2, can't stand them, they're way overrated, though some songs sound alright, got into Jann Wenner's Rock Hall first ballot when there are so many more who came before that were/are still waiting, Bono is an arrogant pompous ass jerk who thinks he is the savior of our world thanks to journalists along with his ego!

Bono is certainly arrogant, but it would be hard to deny the world wide enormity of the band. Not liking them is one thing, denying that they are one of the 3 biggest bands of the last 30 years is another. It did not take Jann Wenner to get them in on the first ballot.

Bono definitely talks the talk, but it just so happens he walks the walk too. He has genuinely done a whole lot of good in this world, particularly Africa. His is not the empty rhetoric that you sometimes hear in Hollywood.

Did not say it only took Jann Wenner, I called it his Rock Hall, big difference, 3 biggest bands is very subjective, only 3/18 votes so far here says something.

Bono and most celebrities do a lot for charities, some of the biggest scams in this world today, it mostly goes to administrative fees, yeah, he should know better.
