Re: The Yes Thread

You know MP I don't think I have "The Ladder", and Joe I definitely don't have "Talk" either.

I stopped dead in the water when "Drama" was released...and didn't pick up any later Yes albums until "90125" was released. I do have "Big Generator" as well, but haven't played it in a long time, so for me Drama and Big G will always rate near the bottom of the pile for the Yes albums I do have.

It's no Fragile but yeah it's really good. Check it out...I was a bit leary at first but lucky for me I'm a completist. Some nice moments in there.

I stopped at Drama myself. Never liked the stuff I heard that followed .
I have been considering getting Keys for a while though.

My friend Sox rates Drama as a good album Wolf...I have played it once since he posted about it further up the page in here, but it still didn't jump out at me.

I'll play it again later today before closing that file permanently, and will pick up Ascension next and give it a fair listen.

So far MP I haven't found a copy of The Ladder, but I'll look seriously later today.

Re: The Yes Thread

Just finished my first cursory listen to "The Ladder" and I enjoyed it. Is it among their "classic" and best work? Probably not, however I like it more than Drama. As I said earlier I had no problem with 90125 or Yes trying to change things up a little.

I was playing "Tales From Topographic Oceans" the other day and I think it is rapidly becoming one of my favourite double albums.

I'm afraid it's a case of getting the old headphones dusted off again .. but when she's not about it gets cranked up. I don't know LG there's just no accounting for taste sometimes. :peek
