Both Cactus & Savoy Brown are very nice.

I bought a Cactus box set early last year which has about 6-8 cds and I always liked Savoy Brown and back in the early 1990s Decca/Deram re-released all the bands studio albums on cds from Shake Down in 1967 to Savage Return in 1978 which I bought.

Savoy Brown was always BIGGER in the states so Kim Simmonds eventually left the UK and moved to the USA probably for that reason??.

My friend Bill saw Simmonds at a local club in Porter IN called Leroys in the late 90's...sadly I was unable to make it that night.

I liked Kim and Savoy Brown was his whole life for some 55 years and I was sad to hear that he passed away three years ago.

been giving a listen to ZZ Tops first album from 1971 today..This track 'Just Got Back from Baby's' probably my fave song from the album.

i dug this out today and really had to give it a thorough dusting down coz its been a long long time since i have given this album a listen to..From 1973, The Gary Moore Band with the album 'Grinding Stone'..picked out the last song on the album here, 'Boogie My Way Back Home.'

Thin Lizzy - with that great old blues song 'Ghetto Woman'...This track taken from their superb 'Rock Legends Box Set' released a few years back..This track from 'The Early Years' disc in the box set..Early Lizzy, with Eric Bell in the band, were quite bluesy and also folky and of course rock..This Lizzy box set is a real gem for fans of the band.

Some more blues from Thin Lizzy with their cover of Percy Mayfield's 'Memory Pain.'..Snowy White's guitar solo here is sublime, it really hits the spot.
