Worst style of music...... EVER.

The music above is a far cry from what i heard on YouTube.I can't remember telling anyone that they don't listen to enough Classic Rock,or saying that people shouldn't listen to whatever style of music that they like.I asked who here would like/buy/listen to screamo and you replied that you did.If you're talking about the question i asked on another thread(what made CN join a Classic Rock forum)well he an LG have answered that question.The reason i asked was because if i was on a Classic Japanese Motorcycle forum,and someone on that forum said they thought Honda,Suzuki,Yamaha and Kawasaki where an overrated bike,well i would wonder what made him want to join the forum,i would have thought he should have joined a Harley Davidson forum.

That's a fair question, and you have made a good point Cream'd.

We are a wide open music forum period, that is why the threads are divided up they way they are, so whatever you like you can pick and post there, and if you want to check out new music that younger people enjoy you can visit those sections.

I will say that I agree with Mud, Cannibal Corpse is metal not screamo...missed that one when I posted earlier.

Not a fan of screamo by any means, but just because lyrics depict them as not caring about anything does not mean they do not appreciate fans. Still think that genre for the most part sucks.

I was kidding about the backpedal thing, I like to make fun of myself sometimes and have a good sense of humor that way.

Cannibal corpse utilizes screaming in their songs. Screamo isn't a genre, that's like saying rap is a genre.

I thought that might be the case as far as what you've heard. There's a lot of Screamo which I hate but that's more about the artist than a genre. I don't believe a cursory listen is ever good enough to form a judgment on any genre. You are kind of cheating yourself in general that way. I've discovered more and more Jazz or Jazz styled artist I've enjoyed over the years and that was a genre previously that left me with a "meh' impression before. It was never an aggressive dislike (I don't have those) but just something I needed to explore further. I'm here in the forum because I don't have anything against Classic Rock. It's not my main course but it's part of my repertoire. I like the fact that I can add my niche of liking both and giving people, if they are willing, a new taste on top of what they know. Based on what you said what I was reacting to is the constant surprise you have that someone can like one thing on top of another. I LOVE music dude in it's entirety as it is! Genres, stereotypes don't affect me! I can't speak for anyone but I believe I'm not alone in that! Why did I choose this forum for it! Because I came in with people I respect knowing that we set out for respect towards music as a whole and the fans of it. As far as content here well that's up to each individual! Peace!

Its growling, not screaming and there is quite a difference between the two.
Its a rough equivalent of a canine growling and a primate screeching.

I have a pretty much live and let live attitude but that music with flashing lights and electronic pulses they used to play in night clubs .. like a torture proceedure.. ten minutes of that and I would confess to anything I reckon.

True I guess but I feel that the bad feeling towards 'screamo' is as much, if not more, focussed at growling, frying and all the other similar techniques
