First off, let me say that Motorhead is great. Now with that out of the way, Lemmy Kilmister cannot sing. He just might be the worst (and ugliest) singer to ever front a band. He doesn't carry a tune worth a sh!t and just stands there while playing and singing. Absolutely awful. But for some reason, as with others, it works for them. But from a pure musical standpoint (not to mention from a aesthetic one), he's the worst. Bar none.

Oh dear oh dear....i think people being a bit harsh with legends Geddy Lee and Brian Johnson. There again its good to hear opinions. Magnoliasteve was bang on with Neil Young and Dylan haha they DO suck as singers [but not as songwriters!] No-one yet has mentioned Jon Anderson of YES whose high pitched whine would annoy anyone after the second track...or what about another overhyped rubbish band from the seventies SUPERTRAMP....."Dreeeeeeemer can you put your hand in....." NO!!!!!!!!:banghead:

I totally agree Lou - nothing at all wrong with Brian Johnson or Geddy Lee - think they are great, but I really can't get on with Neil Young or Jon Anderson's voices, and I've always thought that Bob Dylan is a master at writing songs but when it comes to singing - :wtf:

Don't kill me for saying this Lou..but I always thought Frank DiMino had a little Jon Anderson quality to his voice. But more rocked out. Some tunes more than others of course.

Magic Touch comes to mind.

I agree about Bob Dylan though, I like him much more as a songsmith than as a mistrel.:D

Bon Scott, Geddy Lee and Ozzy Osbourne are all solidly entrenched on my list as well, and that's for their voices.
