Here are two Rolling Stones' albums a decade apart that I consider way sub par:

It's Only Rock 'n Roll

What?

Another great album.

I'd give it a 8.5 on a scale to one to ten.

''It's Only Rock 'n Roll'' (1974) was an upgrade over ''Goat's Head Soup'' (1973) in my opinion.

The two worst Stones albums by far was ''Steel Wheels'' (1989) and Bridges to Babylon'' (1997)

I think most hardcore Stones fans wouldn't argue about that...

but you never know.

My second favorite artist ever is Tori Amos and if I had to pick one that would be a dud in comparison to her other work it would be her album of covers:

Strange Little Girls

It really was not aesthetically pleasing to me at all and I believe it was a cop out album as Tori was nearing the end of her record contract.

I totally agree with you. I've only played the album once and once was enough.

Gag songs?

Yeah, we need more gag songs like that today.

''Let It Be'' was great.
Yep, what the world needs now are more songs like 'Dig It'.

'Across the Universe', 'Two of Us', 'Let it Be', and 'The Long and Winding Road' were great, the rest of the album was incredibly mediocre, in my opinion.

I agree with you about It's Only Rock & Roll, though. I wouldn't call it great, but it's better than almost all of the Stones' albums that came after it.

Some Girls
Dirty Work
Between the Buttons(U.S.)
Steel Wheels
Out of Our Heads
Voodoo Lounge
Tattoo You
Black and Blue
Emotional Rescue
Aftermath(U.S.)
England's Newest Hitmakers
Exile on Main Street
12 X 5
Goat's Head Soup
It's Only Rock 'n Roll
Undercover

Foxhound....you rate ''Steel Wheels'' over ''Some Girls'', ''Aftermath'', ''Exile on Main Street'', ''Between the Buttons'', and etc????????????

:wtf:

I hope somehow I'm misunderstanding you.

or it's a typo.

You're going to kill The Beatles over ''Dig It'' a 30-40 seconds song? - anyway the ''Dig It'' intro into ''Let It Be'' on the album is classic, man, ''CLASSIC''.

And the rest of the album is ''mediocre''? - I felt I was reading Blender Magazine for a second.

I'm one of the biggest Clapton fans you'll meet. I find good in everything Clapton's ever done. But, this album wasn't for me at all.

Aw, come on. I Me Mine and For You Blue were great tunes IMO.

I actually enjoy the Let It Be album, I've said it before, the only Beatles song I don't really like is Revolution #9

Yes ''Tormato'' is a great album, one of my Top 10 favorite Yes albums...

And ''Shakedown Street'' had good songs, just a bad record...

I surprised you didn't mention all the crappy Genesis albums....

like all of them. ;)
