Women Singers in Celtic Folklore and Rock-Metal

[Craqdi]

Hello, I am looking for women who can recommend me for an essay for my university. The fact is that the topic I have to do is create a list with women in rock-metal and Celtic folklore, but I know Enya in Celtic and there is little else you can recommend to me. Greetings. ♡

How about a whole troop of women…an Irish woman’s ensemble….Celtic Woman

Does Enigma count?? Their song "Sadeness" sounds kind of new age to me..

[Ar-Pharazon]

Would Anna Murphy and Fabienne Erni in Eluveitie work? It's a Swiss folk metal band and I believe they've done one album in Gaulish (Evocation I).

A lot of their themes revolve around the Celts being in Europe in early history and their music inspiring later folk music.

Amalie Bruun…..one woman metal band Mykur (Darkness). A lot of Scandinavian folklore in the album Folkasange

[Gold Dust Woman]

Sandy Denny- She had a solo career and also sang with Fairport Convention, Fotheringay, and The Strawbs. She died young in 1978.

Here is a song from her solo career called "Its Suits Me Well."
