Makes you wonder if Led Zeppelin had any blues hits that they didn't grab from somebody else..

All the early blues players...Beck, Green, Clapton, Page etc, borrowed from the black blues artists since it all was pre 60's material for the most part.

the basic styles were a little different based on regional and cultural influences
Robert Johnson is often cited as the king of delta blues but oddly he's not in that wiki section....go figure
There is no actual style called 'whiskey blues'.

Correct.. Someone made up the name because it's a type of blues one would drink whiskey too. There's Bourbon blues.. Yacht Blues.. shithouse blues.. No Shit!! Smooth Blues.. Moody Blues..
