I don't have any children but I can tell you that it was my parents that had a strong influence in my taste in music. I have my dad to thank for getting me into bands like ELP, Yes, Kansas, etc and my mom to thank for introducing me to Billy Joel, Split Enz, Dan Folgerberg (yes I said Folgerberg and don't care), etc. All plus many more have been a huge part of my life since early childhood.

It's all subjective. I don't criticize anyone about what they like, although I've been known to shake my head and wonder..lol

I'm lucky. My mother-in-law doesn't speak English, but I often wonder what she'd say to me if she did.

My oldest daughter (16) likes Linkin Park, Set your Goals, Foo Fighters and stuff. She also likes Joe Bonamassa and Led Zeppelin. The others are into MTV stuff.
