What do your children like?

That is, of course, if you have children.

My son has been around my music, with the exception of some that I'll let him explore when he gets a little older if he wants to, since he was born. I'll post the songs he likes here and you can do the same. Right now he's obsessed with Mrs Vanderbilt. He plays it over and over and over. I have to remind there are other songs on the album.

He'll be six in July.


I'll cross my fingers that this works. It's the first one I've tried.

He's doing pretty good and he still loves to watch shows like The Wiggles and he dances and signs the songs, so he's not losing out on kids stuff.

Definitely good to have some kid stuff as well. He'll grow up to love all kinds of music i'm sure.

Edit; oh what DO they like? Well, same answer I guess, they sure seem to LIKE to be rotten and drive me up the wall. Especially with their constant arguing

ok, in all seriousness. I've still got 2 left at home, both in high school. My son is a lot like me. He loves glam metal, hard rock and heavy metal from the 80's. He's also a HUGE KISS fan. Not sure where he gets that from. He also likes some classic rock from the 60's and 70's. not all of it, but what he likes, he loves. Rolling STones, Beatles, some stuff by The Who, Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Foreigner, Boston, Kansas, etc etc etc.

I couldn't tell you what half of the other stuff is that he listens to and quite honestly, I don't care to know.


As for my daughter, who is 1 yr younger than him, she listens to a really wide variety of newer stuff, likes some metal and again some other stuff that I couldn't tell you who or what it is. She's not too big on much of anything considered classic rock, but when I took her to her first Kiss concert last year, she said she had the time of her life. Fist pumping in the air, screaming, singing and cheering through the whole show. I'm still working on her.
