Van Halen (Official Thread)

In my opinion, the reason Van Halen 1 is so awesome is not only did they tour all over California for 2 years prior to making their debut album but also they cut two terrific demos as well. Van Halen "Zero" as it's known as, is one very kick ass recording. It has more guitar overdubs than the debut album, which is cool because it shows not only how much they had grown musically when they made the demo but also by the time they made their debut album they put it in the hands of their producer and basically said "make this a monsterous stripped down kick ass album". And he did.

I've really been loving this Van Halen song lately. It's so bluesy and fun. I wish Eddie would play acoustic more often because I think in a way it shows him off more as a player than electric guitar does.
