I don't really care who is playing the bass, because there are a lot of session players and rent-a-guy's who can play bass lines reasonably well and you might not know the difference unless you read an album jacket.
However, anyone who isn't worried about how good Wolfgang is with backing vocals or more importantly how good Wolfgang is at writing songs (lyrics/music), then they oughta be worried.
Not being smart about having a qualified second opinion in the writing and recording process is how you end up with songs like How Many Say I on a Van Halen album.
In those respects, it'd make me a little more comfortable about a new album to have Anthony in the band. But unfortunately he has a working relationship with Sammy and the boys in charge just can't have that little fly in the ointment, so they've pretty much written him off.
