^^ Then I think you should buy their latest two albums, Wake The Sleeper and Into The Wild. Apparently some new material is coming up and we might see another Heep album if not this year then next year. :D

I'll back this up!!! The last two albums are SOOOOOO good!!

so far the ones that stand out:

Looking At You: sounds like they really got it right around this time. Loved it.
D & W: everything everybody has said about it.
Salisbury: I've heard alot of people dog it but I love it. For 1970, they were WAY ahead of everyone else, even (dare I say) Deep Purple.
Magician B-Day:a perfect reply to D&W, sounds like they started wanting to write more compact songs, not necessarily commercial just not overindulgence.

Return To Fantasy is growing on me slowly, I didn't like it at first, but now I'm liking more songs, right now A Year Or A Day...

Conquest. Very AOR sound, nothing similar to any other work they've done.

Abominog is fairly commercial too, it had a Russ Ballard song on it. I like it the best out of the latter day stuff.

I wish they had mastered the Five Miles sessions for a proper release. It was talked about around 1999 on the official site, but nothing ever came of it.

I have the 10 Miles High bootleg, which includes a couple Conquest tracks they did with John before he left.

I have a bootleg copy of the five miles sessions somewhere, it was sent to me by a friend I met at a Heep gig. Some of their albums were AOR and different from their early stuff but they still keep rocking and people still keep going to see them...:)

I think Firefly is a corker of an album and seeing how it was Trevor Bolder's debut for Heep a quick blast seems fitting.

I think Lawton-era albums are criminally underrated, but you're right. Firefly was a great debut for Trevor in the band. Some cracking songs they put on the album. Innocent Victim presents his bass playing technique quite well.
