2011 summer festivals for me:

In a few days I will be crossing the border south to our Bulgarian neighbors for Kavarna Rock Fest and in August I will cross the mountains to Transylvania for Sibiu's Artmania Fest :metal:

Wilco and Nick Lowe will be touring together this fall.I am not a big fan of Wilco.I might go see Nick and leave:grinthumb

But to be fair I might check out more of Wilco's songs.

So far in the Raleigh/Durham area the concerts this summer have been pretty slim. There are a few I thought about but the price stops me.I wouldn't mind seeing Boz Scaggs and Michael McDonald but don't think it's worth 45 bucks for lawn seats.Huey Lewis would be okay but it is also 45 for lawn .I wanted to see the Tedeschi Trucks show but it was too expensive.
Styx is coming and its 38 bucks for lawn seats. So far they don't have an opening act.

If there are any Blood, Sweat & Tears fans in the D/FW area, David Clayton-Thomas will be at the Eisemann Center in Richardson at the end of this month.

He hasn't been doing too much outside of Canada in a while so this show should be interesting.

Info is Saturday, July 30th at 8pm.

Would you rather see the former frontman solo or see the "new" BS&T in concert?

Looks like an awsome festival......Have you checked on ticket prices, Prime?

Livenation shows them as $27 a ticket. Not too bad considering the bands going.

Doesn't really say for gen admission or other seating. That'll probably change once they go on sale.

That is reasonable, even if you might be in the nosebleed section ;)

The White River Ampitheater is a pretty good venue. It's where Mayhem fest was, and where I saw Ozzfest and Iron Maiden. I always seem to snag pretty good tickets too. :heheh:

The only bad seating is in the lawn behind the seats, and I never buy tickets for that.
