Today is first day of fall

I always thought the 21st was the first day of Fall...but looking at my trees out front there is no denying the change.

I also thought Fall was a couple of days before today every year.

............. and we are in springtime here. The deciduous trees are all coming into leaf and there are lots of flowering shrubs in bloom.
