My son and wife got married today.I was very happy for both of them and have known my now daughter in law since they were kids. They started dating 4 years ago and the wedding went well without any problems. I even got a dance with my son. They even asked me to speak out and did loving what I said which was true saying this:
To my son and his wife, congratulations on a new chapter in your life called marriage husband and wife. Thought I never see this with you two watching you two growing up. Remember you two as kids in Kindergarten when you two first met as friends in the same class. I have seen you bond even more as good friends as you got older through elementary school, middle school and high school. You two at age 17,was happy for you when you first started dating and I knew this day would come one day. I see you two living a happy life together with a child on the way in March 2026. To my daughter in law, our bond has gone even closer now as a mother in law/daughter in law relationship.
My daughter in law even warned everyone about me, said I am like Sergeant Hartman in the movie Full Metal Jacket at times since I was in the Marines. Said that is true.
They leave tomorrow for their honeymoon
