More often than not songs that stick in my head are crap.....fortunately I like this one..... Bankrobber ~ The Clash
Torn & Frayed - Rolling Stones The catchy-song-I-don't-like-but-I-can't-get-it-out-of-my-head syndrome. I am a long time sufferer. The only cure I know is to immediately listen to a song I like and force the bad one out! I confess it does not always do the job because bad catchy songs are like warts.
Young Americans - David Bowie Good song but i'm always rankled by the lines "do you remember your President Nixon; do you remember the bills you had to pay, oh even yesterday?" A sorry attempt at social commentary. Nixon had resigned the previous year; yeah, we remembered him! And his twaddle about paying bills amounted to nothing.
When I'm driving along and I see a sign for a town or street that reminds me of a song I just burst into song. Once a week I pass a town named Marceline and I can't go by it without singing Chuck Berry's Mabeline, also a local street is called Grindstone Parkway, yet ride along it singing Rhinestone Cowboy.....surely I'm not alone in this
