I think this Rig Rundown is just phenomenal.

Nicholaus Arson is just awesome. Less sustain is better than long sustain. Don't worry about the strings, size, action don't really think about it. find a pickup that sounds good and play it. hell Yeah!!!

Plug it in and wail on her.... just like it should be!

Nicholaus uses like 1 pedal, a wah for a really short intro to 1 song. Play what you brung baby!

Vigilante Carlstroem...... What the hell how cool is that to have the name Vigilante.

These guys are the deal man.

Since The Vines were mistakenly mentioned, check this out.

The Hives own the vines back to back on MTV.

Pelle says "I know you want to us to play more, but that's all the time we have so you can turn off now"

The Vines come on with way more light and stage support and you can just feel like: how do you follow that. then the whole destroy our equipment just doesn't work.

The Hives are great... I can't say much about the Vines because I've only heard a few things by them which were kind of cool but wow...the Hives blew them away here. Had I just seen the video of the Vines here w/out the Hives they probably would have peaked my interest a bit but the Hives were just a band relying on their music & raw power. They have so much energy in their performance. But...are the Hives still kickin'? I really hadn't heard much mention of them in a few years...I hope they put something new out soon

The Hives are still going. Just supported ACDC In Australia.

I am hoping they make a new album, last one was Lex Hives in 2012.

Last song was Under a Blood Red Moon a song they did for a movie soundtrack

So yes it is time for new Hives

The Hives - Oh Lord! When? How?

Here are a couple tracks from Oh Lord! When? How? a 1996 EP released prior to Barely Legal

This squarely in the Punk Garage Rock realm. I believe it fairly rare as I have found it tough to get my hands on a copy of it.

How will I cope with that

You think your so special

Cellblock

Bearded Lady

Let me go

I actually like these a lot. it reminds me of the days we spent so much time in a place called the Continental in Buffalo New You. Raw a bit Rough and definitely fast like in the Garage.

This is a cool little mini background on "Hate to Say I Told You So". Gives you an idea for where they came from and how the song came about.

I came accross this awhile ago then it seemed to disappear or something. Its a great Hives find.
