The Gaslight Anthem is an American rock band from New Brunswick, New Jersey. Band members are Brian Fallon, Alex Rosamilia, Alex Levine and Benny Horowitz. They released their first album, Sink or Swim in May 2007, and their second album, The '59 Sound in August 2008. The band's third album, American Slang, was released on June 15, 2010.

The Gaslight Anthem is part of a rich tradition of New Jersey punk. Their music also embraces many elements of the Jersey Shore sound. Brian Fallon has a fondness for Springsteen, who is a significant influence on their music. Bruce often plays with them.

Somewhere, someplace
I actually really do hear the Springsteen in them. Never heard of this band before, but they have a good sound.

Glad you gave them a listen Lola. They're coming out with a new album for 2012. I'll post some songs to this thread when it's available.

Everyone raves about The '59 Sound, but I prefer their debut album Sink or Swim. American Slang is a really good LP to and there's so many would be hits on there I've no idea why that didn't take them into the stratosphere in terms of sales!
