If the hits compilation you have is "The Essential Clash", that is about all you need.

It has 12 of their biggest and best hits in "I Fought The Law", "This Is Radio Clash", "London Calling", "Lost In A Supermarket", "Clampdown", "The Guns Of Brixton", "Train In Vain", "The Magnificent Seven", "Police On My Back", "Should I Stay Or Should I Go" and "Rock The Casbah".

For some reason, however, the 40 song two-disc set doesn't include the hits "Charlie Don't Surf", "Washington Bullets" and "Inoculated City" so maybe someone can FLAC those over your way so you could have all the essential Clash hits. ;)

I have all of the Clash's albums Dave so I didn't pick up that compilation set.

I am still trying to convince Sooty to get "London Calling", it's a fantastic album.:D

Best Punk/Rock band ever. I love them. London Calling is simply brilliant and then they have other cool songs that are very powerful when performed live like Should I Stay Or Should I Go, etc.

Good band. Extremely overrated, but still good.
