But I've not heard an instance where Meg doesn't keep time well.

Yes. In most instances, Meg white keeps a pretty solid beat, but I've seen live performances where they can't stay together. I like Meg's simplicity and the stylish yet sloppy sound.

That's what I mean when I say I like it, yet she's not perfect.

When I first heard the Black Keys (on the Fat Possum complilation, "Not The Same Old Blues Crap 3") .. I couldn't believe that they were two young white guys from the midwest and not two old blues men from the Southern U.S. ... :)

I absolutely love The Black Keys. Dan guitar playing brings me back to Hendrix when he does those flutters and hammer ons just the way hendrix did. His voice at times reminds me of Muddy Waters. Hear are some of my favorite songs by them
