I always was a big fan of Nugent & I love 'Weekend Warriors' & his debut solo album. Back in the 70's I was always playing the Weekend Warrior Pinball Machine at the local Arcade


As I said in a previous post somewhere, I seen him twice between '79 - '81 & he sucked both times which was a huge disappointment for me but I seen him on the 'Little Miss Dangerous Tour'(Another album I like a lot) & he was great.I seen him a couple other times after that & he kicked ass.

I'm a big pinball machine fan! I particularly favour Gottlieb and Bally machines. I eventually plan to add at least a couple of books on pinball machines to the one I already have. A working machine in my rec room would be nice too....

From his self-titled debut through Weekend Warriors, Ted was on top of the rock and roll world from 75-79. I don't think there was a music festival back then that he didn't headline or at least participate in.

I kinda lost interest after Weekend Warriors but it was a nice surprise to see him in Damn Yankees - an excellent album in itself.

I don't doubt he has some hearing loss. I don't think anyone wore earplugs back then. And I recall a story in the late 70's about a concert of Ted's at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City where farmers 20 miles away complained about the noise, and he was banned from playing there. Then again it may have been nothing more than "an urban legend" (before the phrase itself became popular). I suppose, what with the innerwebs and all, it would be easy enough to verify, but back then you just took everything you heard or read at face value.

My favorite album by the Nuge, "Double Live Gonzo". I heard this one on 8-track the first time,,,, in my older brothers old Cortina, one of the worst cars ever made, but at least the 8-track player was cool. After playing it a couple of times I was hooked, and it was the first vinyl album of Ted's I picked up. Now I have about 6 of his CD's.

I love this song.

I love Ted Nugent's last few Amboy Dukes albums, a few assorted early Amboy Dukes tracks and his first three Solo LPs. I am hard pressed to find a more solid American Hard Rock album than Ted Nugent s/t. Maybe Aerosmith's Toys In The Attic is as good, but I can't think of many others.

As far as Ted Nugent's political philosophies and stances, I pretty much agree 100% with everything he stands for and I don't even personally own a gun.
