His last great LP is Spirit of the Wild, even had Derek on a few of the tracks, that's why it's so good. The mofo is the Power Cord king, yea he can't play like David Murray but he STILL kicks ass. His last 4 LP's are only soso, not because of the guitar, but his singing skills suck.
I could care less about his politics, tho I usually agree with him and his FREEDOM arguments, its just the way he puts his opinion out there. He is the opposite of the hard line libs when it come to tactfulness.

If he is going to broadcast his beliefs then he is inviting comments Taha, I do agree with the right to free speech, but in this day of political correctness he had to know he was going to get censured eventually.

I stop at Double Live Gonzo, that is the last great album he did, and it is my favorite of his early recordings too, one of the best live albums ever.

Gonzo rocks, but give Spirit of the Wild a chance, Derek rocks that LP.
Censureship only backs the freedom arguement, man oh man, we get the liberal Houston Kronicle ( communist fu<k newspaper), to bad that can't be censored, and they wonder why their subscription base is down 1/2.

I saw the Nuge in 1982, but he had changed his band and Derek wasn't part of the line-up, and the show was disappointing to me at least.

Seeing you like Spirit of the Wild so much, I'll look around and see if I can get a copy for evaluation purposes only of course.

Was listening to Strangelhold yesterday and I agree with most...it's just one of those tunes!
