God I can't stand her. Some ass on another forum was obsessed with her and all he'd talk about is "Tarja tarja tarja tarja tarja" and tag me on facebook in pictures of Tarja and I just ended up quiting the forums because it got so annoying. Hate Tarja.

She is an awesome singer ,Bob. I saw Nightwish live on their last US tour
before she was fired. She was awe inspiring live. While I understand the band's position and reasoning behind her termination Nightwish is definitely not the band they used to be without her,IMO.
TBH, this the first time listening to her solo stuff for me.

They had their reasons for firing her but not sure the way they actually handled it was the right way to go about it.
Anyway I love her solo stuff.
My Winter Storm has some great material on it.
I like this one from the new album.

I have to agree, Nightwish is not the same since she left, but I don't hate her replacement or anything...it's just that Tarja was a perfect fit for the band.
It is too bad things went badly, but that is common in the music world.
I don't have any of her solo work yet...anybody want to recommend her best CD?

LG, besides her xmas album, she has only released 2 solo albums so far and both are excellent.

I agree, Riff Raff. But LG likes that classical style stuff, so he will most likely take better to My Winter Storm.
But I have to say What Lies Beneath is her best so far
