Well, I don't know if trashcan could be called an "instrument", but Bonzo sure does hit trashcan (or his knees, by some legends) on this one, making distinct sound.

Let's not forget the theremin, probably most famously used in the Beach Boys' "Good Vibrations."

... and Mr Page giving the theremin a workout in the middle section of Whole Lotta Love.

A clanging ashtray or "famous ashtray!" as spoken in the background of the Beach Boys Barbara Ann.:heheh:
